Before the discovery of oil, Nigeria’s solid mineral mining industry was one of the major sources of its revenue. The country mined and exported solid minerals like columbite, iron ore, gold, coke, tin, and coal. However, in 1956, the growth of the mining industry declined as focus shifted from other viable resources towards crude oil production. #Oil #OilOutput
