This article highlights COREN's registration processes for engineering and consulting firms.

Preamble

Council is empowered to register Consultancy Firms in the following categories:

Sole Ownership

  • This must be owned by a COREN registered Engineer who must be up to date in the payment of his practicing fee
  • The firm must be registered by Corporate Affairs Commission with a Certificate of Registration.

Documents for submission must include:

  1. Corporate Affairs Form 2 (form of application for registration)
  2. Brochure of the firm
  3. CV of owner
  4. Payment of an appropriate processing fee
  5. Corporate Affairs Form CAC 10 (Annual Returns)
  6. Completed COREN Firm Application Form

Partnership

  • To be owned by two or more registered engineers who must be up to date in the payment of their practicing fees.
  • The Firm must be registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with Certificate of incorporation.

Documents for submission must include:

  1. Corporate Affairs Commission Form 2 (Form of application for registration)
  2. CV of partners
  3. Payment of the appropriate processing fee
  4. Deed of Partnership
  5. Corporate Affairs Form CAC 10 (Annual Returns)
  6. Company Brochure
  7. Complete COREN Firm Application Form
